And welcome! I am a leadership coach specialising in Story-Led Coaching.

What is Story-Led Coaching? Well, it’s a coaching methodology that focuses on the way narrative shapes awareness, behaviours and social norms. After all, we are all the heroes of our own stories – and it is in exploring our stories and the stories of those around us that we can get to a better understanding of ourselves and others.

Stories are central to my understanding of the world. During my twenty-year media career, I have worked with some of the most gifted storytellers of our time – and also some of the worst! I have seen stories used for the best causes, but I have also seen how they can be used as weapon.

Stories matter. Many stories matter. Stories have been used to dispossess and to malign, but stories can also be used to empower and to humanise. Stories can break the dignity of a people, but stories can also repair that broken dignity.

In my coaching I use stories and personal narrative to shift perspectives, open horizons and unlock potential in my clients.

Would you like to know more? Check out my blog! It focuses on how stories impact all aspects of our lives. Do you sense a theme yet?

How are you today? Here are some other things I do (sometimes I call this the right side of my brain):

I am a senior media and digital advisor, non-executive director and board chair.

I have spent most of my career focused on finding new and innovative ways of telling stories. This has led me to decades of exciting and fulfilling projects, from the production gallery of Pop Idol in Wembley, to the writers’ room of Neighbours in Australia, to launching a pet channel on YouTube (still live all these years later!), to supporting the development and launch of a toll-free phone-delivered drama for teenage girls in Northern Nigeria.

Today I am on the board of the British Board of Film Classification (BBFC) as well as the Chair of the Board of Trustees of Charity Digital. I consult with various media companies, and I am a mentor for early-stage start-ups. I am also a public speaker on the topic of narrative in digital and social media, digital strategy, influencer marketing, and the role of technology in content creation.
