Consulting and Advisory

For the past few decades, I have been dedicated to building and expanding successful content and digital businesses, working on some of the biggest TV shows in the world such as Idol, X Factor, Masterchef, and Got Talent. Today, I hold various positions that allow me to share my knowledge and expertise with others.

Currently, I sit on the Board of Directors of the BBFC. I am the Chair of the Board of Trustees of Charity Digital, and a Trustee of The Institute of Imagination. I also serve as an external media expert for consulting firm Arthur D. Little, a mentor for UK-based seed fund Ascension Ventures, and an Advisor-In-Residence for consultancy collective PXI. In addition, I co-host a podcast with Maureen Kerr from Arthur D. Little, where we discuss all things media.

I am a regular speaker and lecturer on various topics, ranging from the power of stories to impactful social media strategies and media-led behaviour change.

As a consultant, I work with both large and small media organisations, as well as media-focused charities. My work often centres around integrating digital thinking into the core of content-driven organisations, moving away from the idea of a separate digital strategy. I also help clients understand how shifting consumer behaviours influence, and are influenced by, media consumption.

I contribute to events organised by the United Nations Environment Programme, under their Anatomy of Action initiative, and I give lectures as part of management programs at The University of Westminster in London and ESCP in Paris.

What makes Claire’s lectures invaluable is that she embeds her presentations in real world examples, drawing upon her experiences to explain, enlighten and engage.

Charity Digital partners with leading technology providers to deliver the UK’s only software donation platform, Charity Digital Exchange. Its services improve digital awareness and access, connect charities to the digital expertise and talent they need, and raise the bar for digital skills and understanding for non-profit organisations of all kinds.

To date, Charity Digital has helped over 400,000 charity professionals learn about digital transformation and enabled over 68,000 to save in excess of £260 million on technology investments.

I joined Charity Digital as a Trustee in 2019 and became the Chair of the Board in 2020.

The Institute of Imagination is a children and families charity based in London with international reach, designing and delivering award-winning creative learning experiences.

I joined the IoI as a Trustee and member of the Finance and Audit Committee in 2022.
